What is Causing Colony Collapse Disorder?

Lately, the bee population has been declining.  This is thought to be caused by a group of pesticides known as neonicotinoids.  Neonicotinoids target the nerve synapse of invertebrates and small doses of these chemicals can be lethal.  It is the ideal pesticide as it is harmless to mammals.
